How long do I have to reach 1,000 points?
Points earned on net new purchases are good for two years from the date they are earned. So you have up to 24 months from the date you earn points to reach the 1,000 points needed for a ClubPerks™ reward certificate. If you have not reached 1,000 points within 2 years of earning those points, the points will expire. Example: if you earn 500 points in June 2005, those points will expire in June 2007 if you do not earn another 500 points before then.
What if I have earned more than 1,000 points in a billing period?
If you earn more than 1,000 points, but less than 2,000 points, in a single billing period, you will receive a ClubPerks rewards certificate valued at $10 toward club merchandise. The remaining balance will be carried over to your next billing period. If you earn 2,000 points in a single billing period, you will receive a ClubPerks rewards certificate valued at $20 toward Club merchandise. There is no need to request ClubPerks rewards certificates, they will be issued automatically.
Do I receive points for balance transfers/cash advances?
No. Points are earned on net new purchases only (new purchases less any returns and credit adjustments) and are not earned for balance transfers or cash advances activity.
How do I know how much I've earned?
On every monthly billing statement, you will see how much you`ve earned for that cycle and your total points balance at the end of that billing period. You can also view this same information online at www.providianonline.com or listen to it in the automated IVR system at 1-800-715-3361.
How long does it take for my points balance to be updated?
Your points balance will be updated each billing period and will appear on your regular monthly billing statement. You`ll see how much you`ve earned that cycle and the total amount earned as of the end of that billing period. In some instances, there may be a delay in seeing points deductions when you have received ClubPerks rewards. There may up to a two week delay but you will see the points deducted for ClubPerks rewards on your next billing statement. Remember, your account must be open, not past due, not over limit and not in default of your Account Agreement in order to receive ClubPerks rewards.
If I lose my ClubPerks rewards certificate, can I get a replacement?
ClubPerks rewards certificates cannot be reissued for any reason. However, you do not need the actual certificate to redeem. You just need the ClubPerks rewards serial number, located at the top right-hand corner of the certificate. If you have lost your certificate, you may request a reprint of the statement in which you received your ClubPerks rewards certificate.
I don't want Official Club member dues automatically
billed to my Club Visa account any longer. Can you change this?
Please contact Club Member Services to make that request, as they are the ones who post the charge to your account. A list of Club Member Services toll free numbers for each Club is listed below.
Why do Official Members receive a 50%
discount on dues but Life Members do not?
Life Membership is already "discounted" and is an exceptional value for members, and the Club is not able to discount it further. But all the other benefits of the card apply to Life Members.
